Warning of Super Vendors
 Gartner analysts characterized the technology industry as being caught in a "vortex of insatiable mergers and acquisitions" that is creating a category of "super vendors" selling highly integrated offerings. Peter Sondergaard, senior vice president of research at Gartner presenting at the firm’s annual symposium in Orlando earlier in October offered the audience an unfavorable critique of the accelerating trend by tech giants to acquire innovation though mergers and acquisitions.
